Skill Level:There is no prior experience necessary. The result can be a DXF file ready for laser cutting or an STL file ready for 3D printing. This means we’ll measure real world components, then work through the process of drawing them precisely in two and three dimensions. In this course, we’ll draw household items as we learn the basics of FreeCAD. This is the role of CAD software, and FreeCAD is the pinnacle in the free and open source world. Whether you hope to make something on the 3D printer, laser cutter, CNC router, or any other computer controlled tool, knowing how to draw precisely dimensioned parts is a critical skill.
